Who knows if it is down to good old social media, or simply scurrilous rumours, but the Indian giant behind Jaguar Land Rover has moved to quash rumours that it is poised to sell the troubled British carmaker to the French owner of Peugeot and Vauxhall.
Yesterday Tata denied speculation that it was close to agreeing a deal for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) with Paris-based PSA. This came after the Press Association reported that a so-called “post-sale integration document” had been drawn up, which suggested that a deal for JLR could be imminent.
End of story, folks.
