Jaguar traces it origins to the Swallow bodied Austin Seven, a new car which was bodied by young William Lyons and his business partner, William Walmsley from 1927.
Their stylish car was an instant success and London dealer Henlys ordered 500 cars initially. None were imported to Australia and many other countries, and of course, very few survive all these years later.
Now a running unrestored Austin Swallow in Australia is needing a new home, and we have been invited to help find it.
We have seen the car and it is a little gem with pedigree, and perhaps is the only one to be offered so openly in our magazine.
