Jaguar’s impressive Art of Performance Tour is returning to the Formula 1 2018 Rolex Australian Grand Prix, Melbourne’s opening round of the world championship, from March 22-25.
The F-TYPE Supersprint and Jaguar Ice Cube will highlight the performance and handling capabilities of Jaguar’s cars at Melbourne’s Albert Park circuit while giving car lovers a chance to experience it first-hand.
The Formula 1 ® 2018 Rolex Australian Grand Prix is the first appearance in Australia of Jaguar’s stunning new E-PACE compact SUV and will be the first time E-PACE and its bigger F- PACE stablemate will be together in public.
Both cars will not only be part of Jaguar’s Formula 1 ® 2018 Rolex Australian Grand Prix vehicle display but also run hot laps of the 560-metre F-TYPE Supersprint circuit and demonstrate their agility on the incredible Ice Cube.
On the fast and exciting Supersprint track professional drivers will demonstrate the cars’ impressive performance while passengers experience true seat-of-the-pants excitement.
Fans can also take a ride over the daunting Ice Cube, experiencing another Jaguar dimension as technology, in the form of Jaguar’s impressive All-Surface Progress Control system, blends with the poise and balance of chassis engineering, allowing drivers faced with a steep and slippery incline to simply select vehicle speed, take their feet off the pedals and let the cars ascend and descend autonomously.
Kevin Nicholls, Jaguar Land Rover Australia’s Marketing Director, said the company is delighted to be sharing the exhilaration and excitement of Jaguar cars with motor sport fans in Melbourne.
“Jaguar is a brand that embodies design, innovation and performance. The F-TYPE Supersprint and Jaguar Ice Cube, gives us the perfect opportunity to let fans and enthusiasts experience the cars first-hand, and truly demonstrate what we call Jaguar’s special “Art of Performance”, Mr Nicholls said.
“We are also pleased that we will be able to publicly showcase the all-new E-PACE compact SUV which launches in Australia this month and joins it’s larger F-PACE sibling, providing Jaguar with a dynamic product range that truly has something for everyone.
Land Rover will also put its SUV range through its paces at the Formula 1 ® 2018 Rolex Australian Grand Prix, demonstrating its class-leading off-road handling capabilities on the exciting Twin Terrapod, a mechanical hill simulator.
Passengers on the off-road simulator are taken up a steep climb to a height of six meres before dropping back to ground level, achieving impressive climb and descent angles of between 43 and 48 degrees.
Jaguar’s Art of Performance will be located on Aquatic Drive, on the circuit’s western side between turns five and six. A wide range of Jaguar vehicles, including the new E-PACE, will be on display at Champions Gateway. The Jaguar Ice Cube and Land Rover Twin Terrapod will be located in Legends Lane.
