We have posted news recently of two examples of six prototype Series 3 E-Types built in 1969 and which have surfaced after a long while in hibernation.
These cars each have a chassis number starting with EX100 and are very mysterious – and historic.
One is fitted with an XK six cylinder engine – and another is in Australia where it is very rarely seen.
In our next edition we will bring this car into the light with the assistance of its long time enthusiastic owner.
Not all of those six cars survive, and we will reveal all in the coming magazine.
I love stories like this which highlight the team of brilliant engineers at Jaguar who worked mostly out of the spotlight.
