MATTHEW WIESNER LEAVING JAGUAR LAND ROVER

We were very saddened with the news today via Car Advice that Jaguar and Land Rover Managing Director in Australia, Matthew Wiesner, is quitting the company.

He stepped down today down from the role after four years.  We admired his dedication to the marques and appreciate the support and friendship he afford us at Jaguar Magazine

No replacement is currently lined up, but the current JLR Australia finance director, Janice Perich, will step up and act as managing director during the search.

“We would like to thank Matthew for his efforts and leadership of the Australian business through a period of growth and development over the last 4 years and wish him well in his future pursuits,” Jaguar Land Rover said in a statement.

Wiesner was a vocal advocate for stronger leadership on electric vehicles from the Australian Government during his time in charge – unsurprising, given Jaguar is readying the I-Pace for launch locally.
