Frank Gardner began his racing and engineering career with an XK120, C-Type and D-Type.  We publish a unique tribute to the legend with the help of his wife, and using the knowledge he shared with us nearly 15 years ago.  For a man who entertained with his wicked sense of humour, Frank was very private so this feature is very rare and revealing.

Digby Cooke raced at Bathurst many times, and owns some very fine modern classics.  However, in a conversation he was asked if he would like an XJ13 - or a replica at least?  The result is a fabulous V12 powered car finished in bright red - built from from photographs and very basic plans.

Heinz Schendzlorz and his school friend Wal Nelowkin lived in outer Melbourne in the late 1960s and took hundreds of high quality photographs all over Australia and Europe - without anybody else knowing!  Now they have shared them with us.  Cars include the 1954 D-Type 'OKV1' which finished second at Le Mans,C-Types, S.S. Jaguar 100s, Lister Jaguars, XKs, E-Types -  and Browns Lane in the midst of a bleak 1973/74 winter.  They make a fascinating feature in 2010.

Win Percy's XF drive in the latest Classic Adelaide - in his own words.

Ian Cooling highlights rare and valuable Jaguar hardware.

The Bathurst winning JRA TWR XJ-S was a star at the Top Gear where it was reunited with many other famous racing touring cars.

We review the great new book on the under-appreciated but heroic Tony Gaze.

Considering buying a classic Series 1, 2 or 3 XJ?  We give you good advice.

Find out just how remarkable the late-Frank Gardner really was, and how he emerged from the death of his father in front of his eyes as a child, dirt-poor conditions, orphanages, and more to emerge as one of motor racing's greats. Digby and Gwen Cooke own a brilliant replica XJ13 which they wanted finished in red so there was no chance of it being confused with the real thing. We find out just how exciting it is. The Jaguar movement was in its infancy in the late 1960s when people didn't appreciate mixing with ex-Ecurie Ecosse C-Types, Le Mans Lister Jaguars, ex-works D-Type OKV1, heaps of S.S. Jaguar 100s and loads of E-Types and XK sports cars - but those days are preserved and recalled in unseen photographs. Scared of the leather in your car? Don't be, and if it needs reviving we might just have a very pleasing, quick and cheap solution for you!
